The blue sweet iron oxidizes easily to create warmth and a sweet taste which helps with bit acceptance and encourages salivation. The addition of brass alloy inserts produce a warm, more palatable bit. Please note the blue color will fade with use.
This bit is often used to help with control. The lozenge distributes pressure over both the tongue and bars of the mouth. It can be used with double reins or Pelham roundings.
